hook up in your chemistry lab, here are the things you need to hook up
a standard 1 lb propane cylinder with an LP bunsen burner:
1 - a bunsen burner set up to use LP/propane gas
2 - an adjustable pressure regulator, e.g.:

Unlike some other regulators, this one has a brass nipple that fits
1/4" latex tubing.
3 - a length of 1/4" ID (3/8" OD) latex tubing and a small hose clamp
4 - a modest supply of 1 lb LP/propane cylinders
