SMT tip

When working with very small components ( 0603 or sot-23 etc. ) a short lenght of silicon tube ( about 3 mm id ) and gentle sucked like a pipette, will allow you to lift a SMT component by vacuum and hold it, then allow you to place and locate on the circuit board and hold in position until soldered - much better than tweezers or forceps.

A stereo inspection microscope is a must have, for SMT rework - you gotto go with the times ;)
