Make Audacity work right on mint 17.2

Postby Doug Coulter » Sat Nov 07, 2015 5:49 pm

As they say on the Audacity site - the borked the build that ubuntu 14.04 and thus mint and mate use. They were right - it fails when trying to add the second track.
However,as this site says, adding the right ppa (I used the terminal method, which works right) fixes this on the next system update.
In other words, at a prompt, you type:
Code: Select all
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/audacity

And bingo - it works, after the next time update manager runs. Pretty nice stuff, actually, and I'm no beginner at Digital Audio Processing...
Posting as just me, not as the forum owner. Everything I say is "in my opinion" and YMMV -- which should go for everyone without saying.
