Schematic or tube number needed

Postby Bill Fain » Mon Oct 25, 2010 10:26 am

Hi, A friend of mine picked up a Harshaw Model NV-26 (2kv ,20 ma) power supply from the scrap yard. It looks in good condition, but the power oscillator vacuum tube is shattered beyond recognition. It is an octal tube with a top hat. Would anyone happen to have a schematic or know the particular tube number for this? It was built prior to 1981. Thanks. -bill

We might help him better if we knew what he wanted it for. That's an easy supply to achieve with a CCFL and couple diodes and caps, or close.
Sounds like it was meant for detector power?
Posting as just me, not as the forum owner. Everything I say is "in my opinion" and YMMV -- which should go for everyone without saying.

Hi, I'm not really sure what he wants to do with it. I just figure he wants to get it fixed because it was a well built quality device (everything is in sockets, even the transformers) and may be useful down the road. I'll ask him what his plans are for it. -bill
